Constable Care comes to the rescue

With most Western Australian children now being taught at home due to Covid-19, Constable Care Child Safety Foundation has adapted its usual offering to assist parents and teachers looking to keep students engaged from Term Two.
The Foundation has stopped all school-based incursions and excursions due to the health crisis and has concentrated on filming and producing a wide range of child and youth safety related videos, which parents and teachers will be able to use as online learning becomes a major focus in the months ahead.
Younger students will benefit from online lessons produced in an entertaining and fun broadcast style focused on crafts and activities. Secondary school students can enjoy interactive games and playbacks looking at topics including key mental health issues.
“Our team of professional actors and filmmakers have been working hard to develop a range of new content and resources designed to reinforce the messages of the current COVID-19 crisis as well as converting our existing crime prevention products into online lessons,” said Constable Care CEO David Gribble.
Although we can no longer deliver safety education through our traditional face-to-face method, we have moved quickly to ensure we can continue to reach our audience through a whole new and exciting medium.”
The new content will cover crime prevention education programs, mental health concerns and other important COVID-19 safety issues such as handwashing and hygiene, social distancing and peer support. “As a much loved and trusted safety education provider, Constable Care is here to help parents and teachers get through this new world of learning during the coronavirus pandemic,” Mr Gribble said.
