2023 Autumn Festival
Visit Araluen Botanic Park during Mother’s Day weekend for an afternoon of live music, art and craft workshops, and incredible autumn colour!
Kicking off the weekend on Saturday 13th May, Brenton and Asher-Rose Music will be performing on the Roundhouse Lawn, returning after great feedback from their Valentine’s Day performance!
Jotterbook Flowers will be running an awesome paper flower-making workshop in the afternoon at the Forest View Deck. Making the perfect Mother’s Day gift that mum can keep forever (bookings essential).
On Sunday, starting at 10am, Cabernet and Canvas are running two painting workshops in the gorgeous Amphitheatre (or the Forest View Deck if it’s raining).
These classes are so much fun for everybody! Making it an amazing gift for Mum or Grandma (bookings essential).
Odyssey, a local Perth Jazz trio, will be performing on the Roundhouse Lawn in the afternoon to provide great ambiance to your afternoon tea.
Freedom Fairies will also be at the Park on Sunday with face painting and a bubble show!
Araluen Botanic Park's iconic vintage train will be running all weekend, providing great photo-ops and good fun for the whole family!
Also, The Roundhouse Cafe will also be open all weekend serving coffee, ice creams, and grab-and-go food options, as well as, a soft-serve van being on-site on Mother’s Day.
Park entry is included in workshop bookings.

What can't I take into the park?
Araluen Botanic Park strives to ensure that its beautiful natural landscape is well-maintained and looked after so this means some objects aren't allowed to be taken into the park including:
- Cigarettes and alcohol - A plethora of natural wildlife call Araluen their home. These items cause damage to flora and fauna, and negatively impacts the environment.
- Rollerblades, bicycles, scooters, and skateboards - Araluen is a peaceful and relaxing park and ensures the safety of guests so please don't bring these items into the park.
- Drones, kites, and fireworks - these items have the potential to be dangerous to guests, as well as, the birds and other wildlife that living in the park.
- Pets - while we all love our furry friends, they can negatively affect natural wildlife species.
- Wedding parties, wedding photos, ceremonies, or clothing resembling wedding attire - at Araluen, they have a dedicated Wedding season where you're welcome to book a wedding ceremony, reception, or photography session. Please ensure that wedding-related activities are officially booked during the right time of year.
- BBQs - Araluen has several electric barbeques on site to be utilised.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a camera to help you capture amazing memories. Suitable footwear is also recommended, as Araluen Botanic Park has beautiful hiking trails for the whole family to wander and explore.
Picnics are the perfect way to spend the afternoon at Araluen so bring picnic supplies.
Whilst there's limited mobile reception at Araluen Botanic Park, free public Wi-Fi is available throughout the Park and it's a smoke-free venue.

Prices are per person, and concession card holders must present a valid Australian Government Concession Card. Admission fees are subject to change with the seasons and special events. Gate prices are final.
Ticket prices will change during the It’s Yates Springtime Tulip Festival, which runs from August-September annually. Please keep and eye on our website for Tulip Festival information closer to the date.
