Migrating from Sweden, Perth-raised brother and sister duo of Adam & Selina - The Magicians would perform magic in the schoolyard to make friends and settle into a new country.
“When we moved from Sweden, our English wasn’t good so to interact with other kids, we used magic to make friends and gain confidence”, says Selina Murby.
“Magic was our way of spreading joy. It helped us overcome insecurities, make friends and feel accepted”, added Adam.
From these humble beginnings, their passion for magic has led this talented duo on an amazing journey highlighted by industry accolades and opportunities to perform spellbinding illusions for the Qatari royal family, being grand finalists of 2010 Australia’s Got Talent and international shows in over 18 countries across 4 continents.
In Magic Dimension, part of FRINGE WORLD Festival 2022, Adam and Selina captivate the whole family with a non-stop, action-packed show full of jaw-dropping sleight of hand and mind-blowing illusions such as manipulating gravity, phasing through solid steel, giving life to inanimate objects, teleporting and even… predicting the future!
To fully immerse the audience within the Magic Dimension, the stage is set with theatrical lighting, sound, atmospherics, special effects, and laser projections that will keep everyone in suspense!
