Drop in on the biggest half-pipe in Western Australia at the newly constructed City of Bayswater Skate Park officially opens on Saturday 10 December 2022.
Mayor Filomena Piffaretti encourages riders of all ages and abilities to check out the new vert ramp and BMX jumps.
“We have a really active skate community here in Bayswater. I know riders have been
tracking the progress we’ve been making on the skate park and eagerly await the
opening of the vert ramp,” she said.
“At 3.9 metres high, 13.5 metres wide, it’s pretty impressive. The new vert ramp is the
largest in WA and built to international competition standards”.
“The new City of Bayswater Skate Park presents a wonderful opportunity for kids and adults
alike to develop their skills on a range of high-quality skate and BMX elements.
“I’m so pleased we can provide this amazing facility for our residents and the wider Perth
community.”
“The vert ramp with its additional roll-ins from above the main platform will help younger
riders get more air and also be a hit with pro skaters. The junior plaza is perfect for little
ones who are just starting out, plus there is a wide range of BMX jumps, and an extended
skate bowl”.
To celebrate the opening of the City of Bayswater Skate Park, there’ll be feature rider demonstrations, free sausage
sizzle, popcorn and fairy floss, prizes and giveaways, coffee and icecream for purchase, and much more.
