After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters the Spider Society, a team of Spider-People charged with protecting the Multiverse’s very existence.

But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Fun Facts
- The work of futurist designer Syd Mead, who contributed to the designs of Star Trek the Movie, Blade Runner and TRON, was a big inspiration for the look of Miguel O’Hara’s city of Nueva York on Earth-928.
- The worlds of the haves and have-nots in Earth-928 are separated visually and physically. The above-ground population live in an idealized world of blues and clean lines, while the underground world is darker and Brutalist in nature.
- The filmmakers pay homage to some of the movies that have inspired them visually throughout the movie. Fans of great cinema will be able to find subtle homages to classics from Blade Runner and TRON to Akira and Heat in this visit to the Spider-Verse.
- You’re never too young to know your Spidey Villains! Look for cute plush versions of Doc Ock and Green Goblin in Baby Mayday’s crib.
- The look of the Vulture was inspired by Leonardo Da Vinci’s insightful illustrations of winged flying machines from the late 15th
- The visuals for Ben Reilly (aka Scarlet Spider-Man) were inspired by comic books from the 1990s. As Phil Lord puts it, “His muscles have muscles, and if you dissected him, you’d find out he’s not a human being because he doesn’t follow any normal human anatomy. He’s double- and triple-jointed and reminds you of the guy who spends a lot of time at the gym and is psyched all the time!”
- The owner of the Jamaican bodega featured in the film’s first act is voiced by none other than reggae star, Ziggy Marley.
