Last chance to check out WA’s skate culture!

Freedom: Stories from Skate Culture WA exhibition is soon coming to an end…but not without a closing celebration!
To mark the final day of Freedom on Saturday, 19 February, there’s going to be a special celebration at Yagan Mia Wireless Hill Park and Museum in Ardross – and it’s family friendly!
The exhibition itself is open from 10am to 8pm, giving families one last chance to enjoy commissioned works by highly regarded WA visual artist Bevan Honey and the unique collection of boards, posters, zines, pics and stories that is Freedom.
From 5pm – 7pm, the free Melville Summer Music series continues in the park with Fremantle-based rockers Lincoln MacKinnon and the Wrecking Train along with indie-rock favourite Tanaya Harper belting out tunes!
There’ll be another chance to explore the exhibition before the screening of skating films and for the grand finale… there’s going to be a massive giveaway of exhibition posters, Freedom boards and really special memorabilia from local skate legend, Morgan Campbell!
