The 2021 AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things is set to be the place to be for families these school holidays. Kicking off on September 27th, the yearly arts festival is bringing music, theatre, ballet and more to the Perth Cultural centre.

Festival favourite Peter and the Wolf, presented with West Australian Ballet, returns to the Perth Cultural Centre Stage this year. Families will get to watch the well-loved story on stage, and little ones will have the opportunity to take part in a post-show workshop.

‘We are thrilled to present this year’s AWESOME Festival and celebrate the resilience and comradery of the WA community. We thank our wonderful sponsors and collaborators for their hard work and dedication to presenting high quality arts to families in Perth.’ Said AWESOME Arts CEO Jenny Simpson.

This year’s festival will also feature The Whale’s Tale by Born in a Taxi, Hiccup! By Windmill Theatre, Indigo Sand by Sandpiper Productions and the West Australian premiere of Blinky Bill is on the Loose! by KoBugs Theatre Company.

AWESOME International Arts Festival for Bright Young Things is able to provide free activities and subsidised ticket pricing through the support of its partners; Principal Partner BHP, Wesfarmers Arts, Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Lotterywest, City of Perth, Perth Theatre Trust and the Australian Government.
