Taking place over the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June, this event captivates train enthusiasts of all ages.

Passionate hobbyists from clubs and sheds all over Perth have been diligently building and crafting intricate model train setups and lifelike dioramas...

Waiting for this moment to showcase their skills and creativity.

Event Overview

Perth’s largest Model Railway Exhibition

This year's Annual event is in the Silver Jubilee Pavilion, at Claremont Showgrounds.

There will be exhibits of Model Railways, Traders and like minded and similar organisations.

Familiar ones like Maylands Model Railways, Perth Hobby Centre, Hobbytech and Tinkering Tools to name a just a few traders.

Rail Heritage WA, Perth Electric Tram Society, Hotham Valley Railway and Bennett Brook Railway will also be there.

Come along and have a great day out being a child.

Why Trains & Diorama Making?

Model trains and diorama making is a great hobby for kids to get involved in for these 5 great reasons:

Encourages Creativity: It's a creative hobby that allows children to express their imagination and artistic skills. From designing landscapes to painting and detailing miniature models, it brings out ideas and creativity in children.

Develops Fine Motor Skills: Engaging in train model and diorama making requires precise hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. Children will learn to handle small tools, manipulate tiny parts, and work with intricate details, which can enhance their dexterity and hand control.
