Looking for a fun and engaging way to introduce your young toddler to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math)?

Well…Look no further than WA Museum's Little Learners: Curious Minds program!

This program is specifically designed for children aged 2-5 and it’s packed with hands-on activities to spark curiosity and inspire a love for learning in your child.

Here are a few of the many benefits to introducing your child to STEM concepts at an early age:

  1. Develop critical thinking skills: The activities in the program encourage children to question, explore, and experiment, which helps to develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  2. Encourage curiosity: Children are naturally curious, and the program provides a safe and stimulating environment for them to explore and learn about the world around them.
  3. Promote language development: STEM-based activities can help to improve children's language skills as they learn new words and concepts.
  4. Boost self-confidence: Children who participate in the program will gain confidence in their own abilities as they discover and learn new things.
  5. Create a love for learning: The program is designed to be fun and engaging, which helps to create a love for learning that will last a lifetime.

What happens when we mix things together? How can we build tall towers? What sounds can we make?

Join us for our Curious Minds Little Learners program and use your senses to find out about the world around us with hands-on investigation activities, play, craft, story and museum exploration!

Curious minds is a STEM-based program for early years, linking to the Early Years Learning framework. This program focuses on a different concept each week to ask questions about and investigate, promoting the use of our senses as well as creativity, critical thinking and communication. Every session involves 45 minutes of educator-led activities (including movement, storytelling and hands-on creative projects), with the opportunity to take home what you make. The final 15 minutes are spent visiting the focus of our session in the Museum.

Little Learners takes place on Level 3 on Tuesdays and Thursdays during term time. To cater for different timetables in term 1, we will be running the same session at both 9.45am and 11am.
