Experience Medieval in York!

On Sunday 25 September 2022, the town of York goes back to the Dark Ages for a great cause!
Every year, passionate volunteers from the York Friendship Club put on the York Medieval Fayre, benefiting social causes such as homelessness with part proceeds going to charities such as the Salvation Army, World Vision and the Fred Hollows Foundation to name a few.
So what is the Medieval Fayre?
It's a colourful celebration of all things Medieval!
Everyone gets into the spirit of things by dressing up and being in character to create a really immersive atmosphere!
There'll be non-stop entertainment for the whole family from start to finish.
Ever seen a catapult? Want to try archery?
Here's your chance!
Find interesting stalls selling food and items that reflect the time period.
But... Don't be cheeky or you may end up sorting out a disagreement with a sword!
One of the biggest and most exciting attractions on the day is seeing knights in full armour sword fighting with full intent!
Feeling medieval as a family? The 2022 York Medieval Fayre is on Sunday 25 September with doors opening from 9am.
