For these April School Holidays, WA Museum’s Perth and Fremantle locations are buzzing with fantastic events and activities to spark curiosity in young minds!

The highlight for these April School Holidays at your WA Museum is Virtual Realms.

Virtual Realms is an exhibition that showcases video game design as contemporary art!

Kids will have a blast exploring and interacting with 6 uniquely themed realms, while also, learning about the history of video game design in an exhibition curated by celebrated video game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi.

For busy working parents, be quick to register for one of WA Museum's affordable, fully supervised drop and leave programs! Links below.

To keep everyone safe, the following COVID-19 Safety Protocols are in place at WA Museum locations including:

  • Face masks must be worn indoors.
  • Proof of vaccination required for people aged 16 years and over when visiting the Museum.
  • Children Years 3 and above must wear masks indoors.
  • 2sqm rule is in place within the venue, with 150 capacity limit indoors and 500 outdoors.

  • Journey through 6 realms, each with a distinct theme; curated by the Barbican, London with the celebrated game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi as guest-curator.

From playful adventures in unchartered worlds, to meditative reflections on life itself, join us in this physical and communal environment.
