Hoops Fest brings together basketball fans of all ages to create a melting pot celebrating basketball and culture over an entire weekend starting from Thursday 19 to 22 September 2024!
It's the event's first year’s event so it promises to be an unforgettable experience full of basketball clinics, special guests and fun activities catering for all ages. Basketball forms a big part of pop culture so whether your family are die-hard basketball fans, sneakerheads or simply looking for a fun-filled day out, Hoops Fest 2024 is definitely something to check out if you're in the city during the School Holidays.

NBL Hoops Fest Fan Zone
The NBL Hoops Fest Fan Zone is a FREE EVENT bringing interactive basketball fun to anyone and everyone in the city!
Packed with activities such as 3-on-3 tournaments, slam dunk contests, and skill challenges, this zone is perfect for fans who want to get involved in the action. There will also be opportunities to meet NBL players, participate in giveaways and much more!
Carmelo Anthony Headlining 2024 Hoops Fest
Basketball legend Carmelo Anthony, a ten-time NBA All-Star, will be gracing Hoops Fest 2024 as its headline guest. Fans will have the rare opportunity to meet one of the greatest scorers in NBA history up close and personal. Carmelo will participate in a series of events, including autograph sessions, Q&A panels, and even some on-court action, making this a once-in-a-lifetime experience for basketball enthusiasts.
Basketball Without Borders
For the first time, the prestigious Basketball Without Borders (BWB) program will be a part of Hoops Fest. This global basketball development and community outreach initiative, run by the NBA and FIBA, will feature top young talents from around the world. Spectators can witness these future stars in action and get a glimpse of the next generation of basketball talent. BWB also includes community engagement activities, emphasizing the power of basketball as a tool for social change.
Fun Festival Atmosphere
Hoops Fest isn't just about basketball... it's all about family fun and celebrating basketball culture.
There'll be plenty of fun activities and games for kids, Food trucks, live music and entertainment creating a vibrant event that makes it a perfect day out for the whole family.

A first of its kind, the multi-day extravaganza promises to be an unforgettable festival featuring all NBL and WNBL teams together in the same place at the same time for Round One of the Hungry Jack’s NBL Season, a Cygnett WNBL Tournament, the U18 Australian Club Championships, an interactive fan zone, the world famous Sneakerland exhibition, as well as music, food and loads of other entertainment.
